president Rule Over Us?

President Donald Trump's confrontation with Maine's governor Janet Mills over transgender athletes captured the conundrum many Democratic governors are facing in the Republican's second term. Gov. Janet Mills' vow that she would see Trump in court over his threat to withhold money from the state if it didn't comply with his executive order forbidding transgender athletes to compete in women's sports.

Hours after the spat, the federal Department of Education announced it was initiating an investigation into the Maine Department of Education over the inclusion of Trans athletes.

God doesn't and neither does President Trump want men competing in women's sports; Maine law bars discrimination based on gender identity.

Romans 13:1-2 1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Perhaps Janet should read the bible.

A tale as old as time. There are only two genders male and female. President Trump has finally turned the country back to God's truth regarding this facade.

Whenever someone endeavors to move forward with the things of God, they will always be met with opposition from the evil one: Satan. No not the devil himself but his ministers and stooges who present his will in an Oh so passionate and pleading way.

Genesis 37:5-8 5And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 6And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:  7For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. 8And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

Joseph's brothers hated him for several reasons but none of them were valid. They could not stomach the idea that he would rule over them.

So just like so many of President Trump's enemies who plot daily, Joseph's brothers too planned to kill him.

And they tried their best, but to no avail. At the end of the day Joseph not only ruled over his brothers but also forgave and saved them from starvation.

Acts 7:30-35 30And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush. 31When Moses saw it he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, 32Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. 33Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. 34I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt. 35This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush.

Even the great Moses was rejected by the very people he was sent to deliver. King Saul another chosen by the LORD had the same problem when he started his reign.

1 Samuel 10:23 - 11:1 23And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. 24And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king. 25Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. 26And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. 27But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.

Remember I told you the devil's servants are at the root of this type of rebellion? Children of Belial.

David when angered in his heart for the words that Goliath spoke against the LORD and against Israel was attacked by his own brother Eliab. Eliab full of fear spoke against Davis and accused him of trying to be a hot shot. Eliab just could not believe that the LORD would choose David to deliver Israel.

1 Samuel 17:22-29 22And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren. 23And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them. 24And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid. 25And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel. 26And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? 27And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him. 28And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. 29And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

Luke 19:12-14 12He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Luke 19:26  For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

Verse 26 is unclear in the KJV. It seems to suggest that people without will have what little they have removed. This is not the meaning of the verse at all. The New Living Translation gives the correct jist of what is being said here.

NLT  Luke 19:26 " 'Yes,' the king replied, 'but to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who are unfaithful, even what little they have will be taken away.

Luke 19:27  But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Aren't you glad we live in the administration of grace? But one day soon we won't.

Luke 20:17-20 17And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? 18Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 19And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. 20And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

We can't forget about Jesus. The saviour of the world and yet his own brethren rejected him.

Sounds like Washington today spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might impeach the President. A tale as old as time.

Hebrews 10:28-31 28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The greatest mistake a person could make is to refuse God's gracious gift of everlasting life in a kingdom to come. Where Jesus Christ will reign over the world and there will be no more rebellion. Where the pride and arrogance of mankind will be extinguished once and for ever.

But until that time we occupy until he returns.

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Pray for our President and our Country daily.

God bless you.
