Elders, Part 2

Homosexuality in our nation will continue to grow and dominate our culture as long as fathers continue to ignore the biblical mode of fatherhood. The feminist movement alongside evolution continues to strip away God from the minds of our youth.

Unless there are strong biblical men willing to rise up and take control of their families, and raise their children God's way the next generation will suffer greatly.

Today we either have the overbearing tyrant who thinks he's still in the marines or the absentee father who biologically produced the child but parentally abandons them.

For example if you mention the word submit to most woman even in the church, it's met with disdain and rebellion. Yet our wonderful all knowing God commands that a wife should submit herself to her own husband.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

When a wife is disrespectful towards her husband this conduct strengthens the position that disobedience and rebellion are acceptable behaviors. When a young girl is exposed to this type of family life she will instinctively believe this is normal and expected in the marriage relationship.

For the most part the fault lies with the husband. If a man allows his wife the "freedom" to treat him as a piece of dirt (that's not the word I wanted to use), she will.

This has been a problem ever since the garden. Adam allowed Eve to usurp his God ordained authority and disaster followed.

Genesis 3:1-6 1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Eve convinced Adam that she could run things better than him. In reality, Eve convinced Adam that she could run things better than God. Today when a woman buys into this type of devilish logic the result will be the same: deception.

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Let us consider another record in the scriptures regarding the importance of authority.

Esther 1:15-18 15What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains? 16And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus. 17For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not. 18Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.

The king asked for the Queen and she did not comply. I do not think the king was correct in his manner or frame of mind when he asked for her to come; nonetheless, Vashti refused to come. The concern of the king and his leadership was the example of disrespect that would be heralded throughout the kingdom. Thus, the women of the surrounding lands would mimic Vashti's behavior.

An example of feminism in the scriptures is recorded in Kings.

1 Kings 21:1-10 1And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. 2And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. 3And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee. 4And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. 5But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread? 6And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. 7And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. 8So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. 9And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people: 10And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

There are countless examples of this type of rebellion in the word. Even the great Samson was brought to his knees by a nagging rebellious woman.

And yet, the scriptures declare a virtuous woman is worth her weight in gold. She is to be honored and praised, protected and cared for as a precious jewel.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

This is God's descending order of authority. It's as much God's Word as John 3:16 or Romans 10:9 and 10.

The feminist movement has taught our young girls they do not need to respect a man. They teach our young girls that another woman can fulfill you sexually. This opens the door for lesbianism and all kinds of perverted sexual doctrines.

The president's wife, Michelle Obama, was seen on national TV recently being inter viewed by Ellen DeGeneres, an open lesbian talk show host, joking and campaigning for her husband's reelection.

What a disgrace that the first lady of our country would endorse such an evil, vile lifestyle by the sheer fact of associating herself with a lesbian in front of millions of Americans, many of them young girls. What kind of message do you think that sent to the millions of young girls in our country? It's normal and accepted behavior to be a lesbian. However, I'm sure she would not be caught dead in a national interview with a true man of God.

If men do not step up and take their God given position as head of the household, many of our young boys will fall prey to a homosexual lifestyle. If you are a husband or a father, God is pleading with you to love your wife and children. This means you need to choose who you will believe and serve.

Will you choose God, or will you choose the way of the world?

If you don't raise your family according to the standards of God's Word the world will raise them according to the devil's catechism. If you're a wife and mother, respect your husband. Never disrespect him in front of your children. Teach your children that daddy is the head of your household and that's the way God wants it.

Teach them to honor and respect their father as God's man in authority. Raise your children, spend time with them. Remember if anything comes before your responsibility to your God, your husband and your family, it's sin. Teach your children that God knows best and prepare them for the spiritual battle that lies ahead. Teach them that they will be the leaders and elders of the next generation of believers should the Lord tarry.ÿ
