Jesus Christ was not a robot. He made a deliberate decision and chose God, and chose you. He knew what pain he would go through and what shame he would endure. Adam made a decision, too. He deliberately disobeyed God, but was unaware of the extent of the consequences of his decision. There are three categories of people in the world: those who chose God as father, those who chose the devil as father, and the ones who never make that decision in life. The path you choose has consequences both now and in eternity. Jesus willingly took upon himself our sins in exchange for his righteousness. The great exchange made us worthy. Just like the farmer and the freezing sparrows, God's heart is that no one be lost.
