SUMMARY.
In 1094 Holy Communion, Reverend Catania shows us from the scriptures why it is important that we understand the significance of the body and blood represented in the Holy Communion memorial. The consequences of not understanding or appreciating the significance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ could be dire. One could get weaker or die before his time is up. The celebration of the Lord's body and blood is a sacred memorial that reminds us to remember and to show our faith until the Lord returns. We were healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ. He legally purchased that right for us. The shed blood of Jesus Christ was offered for the remission of our sins. When we take communion we remember what Jesus accomplished for us on our behalf. So we examine ourselves before we take communion and ask God to show us if we need to take care of something before we participate.
